The man behind the wrist
I am a Dane with an abiding passion for watches in all their forms — sport watches, dress watches, chronographs, and everything in between.
Not Just On The Wrist is a purely personal endeavour. I have no commercial involvement with any other websites, retailers, or grey market dealers. I don't accept sponsorships, and I don't broker watches. I write because I find horology genuinely fun and endlessly interesting — and because a good watch, like a good story, deserves to be shared.
This site is my way of connecting with fellow enthusiasts: people who understand why a particular dial texture catches the light just so, why a well-tapered bracelet matters, or why some watches simply feel right the moment they touch your skin. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just beginning to notice the world on your wrist, I hope you'll find something here that resonates.

Technical Drawings
Not just on the wrist — sometimes it's on the drafting table
There's a particular pleasure in seeing a watch reduced to its dimensions — the diameter, the lug-to-lug, the thickness to the hundredth of a millimetre, laid out like a blueprint rather than a photograph. It's the same instinct that makes a cutaway diagram of an engine more interesting than a photo of the car: you're looking at the decisions, not just the result.
This section is where that instinct gets some room to breathe. Rather than write about how a watch wears, feels, or catches the light, each entry here strips a piece from the collection down to its technical drawing — case construction, movement specification, dial finishing, down to the tolerances the manufacture actually printed on its own spec sheet. It's slower, nerdier, and considerably less romantic than the rest of this site. I like it for exactly that reason.
